The History of the Fraser Valley Club of Printing House Craftsmen

Inception
In the spring of 1992, Arthur Mole of the Vancouver Club of Printing House Craftsmen suspected that there was a need for a Craftsmen's Club in the Fraser Valley area of British Columbia that would service the growing population of that area.
For several months, Arthur communicated with many people of the Fraser Valley region who were involved in the Graphic Arts Industry. A meeting with many Fraser Valley printers was held at Newlands Golf and Racquet Club in Langley to assess the viability of a Craftsmen's Association. Also in attendance was Eric Stewart, Deputy Governor of the 10th District.
Charter: September 17, 1992
After a very positive reaction from this meeting, forty-four people, in the presence of Executive Director Kevin Keane of the International Association and 10th District Governor Howard Koontz, signed the charter which officially began the Fraser Valley Club of Printing House Craftsmen.
Randall Bowcott was elected as the Charter President, Susan Thomas, First Vice-President, Johannes Klawitter, Second Vice-President, Lynda Hodgson, Treasurer, and Alma Gale, Secretary to form the Executive.
