About this piece "Slamka Cellars, 1998 Cellar Red" The members of the IAPHC's Tenth District are wont to convene together each September on the shores of Lake Okanagan at Kelowna in the 'interior' of British Columbia. They claim the attractions are solitude and fellowship. We think it's the wine. The Slamka Cellars Winery is located there and their 1998 Cellar Red label caught the judges eye. Printed via the ever growing flexo process in four colours with spot black and gold and finished off with UV varnish, the label is gorgeous and as any vintner will attest there are some non-oenophiles who buy wine based upon the complexity of the label, not the complexity of the wine upon the palate.
