About this piece
"Capabilities Brochure/Corporate
Identity"
In every International
Gallery one can hear the buzz – the buzz of judges talking amongst
themselves – “Hey, let me show you this piece, it’s really cool!”
Despite its quicksilver namesake, the Capabilities Brochure from
Mercury Print Productions and the Rochester Club is just such a buzz
creating entry.
Designed by Grafik
Communications in Alexandria, Virginia, the brochure is a clever riff on
the various meanings and manifestations of the word Mercury.
Odes to Elemental Mercury, or Mythological Mercury, or even the
Mercury Theatre provide jumping off points for a tangible review of the
firm’s prowess.
In Roman times, the first
fig harvested from a fig tree was dedicated to Mercury – “Ficus ad
Mercurium,” or so the saying goes.
In fact, the Roman slogan was a salute to the fruits of one’s
labours. Mercury Print Productions received a rousing endorsement for
their labours when the judges awarded them the MyFujiFilm.com Best
Printers Self Promotion Award. We congratulate them on their Award and on
their Buzz!
