Hong
Kong's near 7 million citizens have been through the decades of British
colonial ties through to the hand over to the Peoples Republic of China
and are avid readers of comics - some 40 titles are published.
The comic genre has been, by turns political, satirical, humorous,
martial and political again.
The
Cantonese indeed the Chinese comics industry has born thanks to the
introduction of Western lithographic printing methods at the end of the
19th Century.
In
the Best book Award competition the excellence of Chinese lithography has
been repeatedly acknowledged and for the 3rd time in 5 years C&C
Offset Printing Co. Ltd. wins the Frank C. Anderko Best Book Award.
