About this piece
"Arnold Newman"
They
never blinked, not the Doyenne of Dance, or the ghost high priests of
Pigment or the avant garde architects, or the gritty novelists or the
still more gritty filmakers ----------
Arnold
Newman was a photographer whose shutter locked a pantheon of artists into
memory and place and reputation. His
photo of a coy Truman Capote is grand, but his photo of Pablo Picasso
staring down the lens, pulses with the defiant machismo of genius
unchained.
Since
1929 The Kromekote brand of paper has a legendary cachet in the printing
trade. As a newly independent premium paper mill based in Hamilton, Ohio,
Smart Papers called upon the subtleties of the stochastic screening
method, as employed by Hennegan Company to create a splendid homage to
world class artists and produced in the bargain, a world class winner of
the inaugural CREO Best Stochastic Printing Award.
