For the
production of
"Chihuahua Book"
Imagine a book – a book that is part geography, part photography; part history and part mystery.
Imagine a book that is a state sanctioned siren song designed to illuminate and educate about a land that is just beyond the horizon and yet utterly unknown to you and to me.
Imagine a book about a land of contrasts and extremes, a land where Jesuits and Apaches, and Pancho Villa and John J. Pershing left but ephemeral footprints on a vast and beulah land. A land populated by hard working and resolutely independent peoples who would love for you to come and visit.
This book is called “Chihuahua- Images of Yesterday & Today.” Produced under the auspices of Governor Patricio Martinez, and printed by Graphic Arts Center Publishing Company of Portland, Oregon, the book is a magnificent examination and celebration of the Largest State in Mexico – the State of Chihuahua.
The IAPHC is deeply honored to present the IAPHC Craft Art Science Award to
Graphic Arts Center Publishing Company.
