For the
production of
"American Color/Western Concord Promotional Handle Bag"
This entry
is a promotional handle bag much like you might pick up at a trade show.
More to the point are the production details. 10 colour surface print on
2.5 ml white polyethylene. The hexachrome process was used, and so was
hybrid screening on the touch plates, with samba dots in the drop
shadows. The plates were digital (direct to press) and the press, aptly
called the Infinity, runs this amazing job at 500 feet per minute. It is
said that the flexo portion of the graphic arts is rocking and rolling.
This entry blew the judges away as they proudly award the Braden Sutphin
Best Flexographic Award to Western Concord Manufacturing of Vancouver.
