EFI Colorproof XF Service Pack 3 Enables Customers’ Business Growth via Integration with
More Wide-Format Printers and Measuring Devices

Foster City, Calif. – Feb. 7, 2007 -  EFI (Nasdaq: EFII), the world leader in color digital print servers, superwide format printers and inks, and print management solutions, today announced the availability of a new service pack that enables users of EFI Colorproof™ XF to benefit from the latest developments in the wide-format, proofing and photo markets. Including EFI Bestcolor® Technology and designed for print and prepress professionals, publishers, creatives and photographers, the industry-acclaimed, scalable and versatile client/server-based proofing solution transforms inkjet and laser printers into powerful proofing and production systems and is renowned for its outstanding performance, color quality, flexibility and intuitive interface.   

EFI's proofing solutions have long been the key to achieving first-class and consistent color quality, elements that are crucial in wide-format applications such as posters, banners, trade fair graphics or POS (point of sale) material.  By harnessing Colorproof XF’s intuitive interface and powerful production functions, users can achieve top results in record time.

Available via the Colorproof XF automatic Online Updater function, Service Pack 3 enables Colorproof XF to support a range of new printers.  In the wide-format market, these include the HP Designjet 8000 and 1000 series, the Mutoh® Falcon II RJ-8000 50/64/87, the Mutoh Rockhopper™ 3 65/90, the Mutoh Spitfire 65/90, and the Mutoh Spitfire 100.  In the proofing and photo market, these include the Epson Stylus® Pro 3800, the HP Designjet Z2100 and Z31000.

Colorproof XF is now also compatible with additional measuring devices, such as the embedded spectrophotometer of the HP Designjet Z series, the X-Rite Eye-One iSis, and the Barbieri Spectro LFP RT.  Service Pack 3 also includes the UGRA/fogra media wedge v2.1, which supports additional spectrophotometers such as the X-Rite Eye-One iSis and DTP70.  Other product enhancements allow customers to achieve even better results with maximum color gamut and accuracy.
