Tom Newland member-at-large and owner of a service printing firm in Spring Lake Park Minnesota called IAPHC HQ remembering that he had seen three dimensional four color printed paper cubes which were among the nearly 2,500 entries in the 1996 International Gallery of Superb Printing. Tom was a member of the jury panel that judged the entries in 1996. Tom had a client request that he bid on an order for just such a paper cube. IAPHC HQ suggested that Tom call PCI in Syracuse, New York and gave him the name and number of Mary Gibbons Raymond at PCI. Mary is past Second District Deputy Governor, past International Printing Week Chair and Syracuse Club member. When Tom identified himself, Mary said "I know you, I've seen your name in stuff that Kevin Keane writes." Tom was not only gratified to be recognized by a faraway fellow Craftsman, he was impressed by the speed in which he was able to get a firm quote back in the hands of his client.
This is not the first time that IAPHC HQ has been able to hook PCI up with a potential order. In 1995 Bruce Kenworthy, Calgary Club president, asked Mary for a quote and his firm Phoenix Press ordered a $6,100 order (US) from PCI!
