Your Craftsmen Network at work
Galen Bicking of Harvest Printing and a member at large in St. Michael, Minnesota wanted input on locally appropriate wage levels for a desktop publishing/customer services specialist. Headquarters did some research and sent him the information the same day.
John Berthelsen of Suttle Press, and the Madison Area Club, e-mailed Headquarters with a request to find a printer who could provide 4 color post cards in the Los Angeles market. Headquarters e-mailed Richard Jones of Pasedena City College, and the Los Angeles Club, and asked for his suggestions. Richard recommended a friend of his, and new Twelfth District Governor Bill Leahy who suggested Martin Sprints of Martin's House of Printing and the Los Angeles Club President.
Bruce Kenworthy of Phoenix Press, and president of the Calgary Club, needed a referral to an Alberta bindery capable of producing case bound books. Headquarters contacted George Caughman of Cardoza-James Binding Company, and the San Francisco Club, who provided Internet based leads which Headquarters added to its own research efforts, all of which were faxed to Bruce.
If you have a problem finding a solution or have an example of how the Craftsmen Network has recently benefited you, we'd like to hear about it. Just send an e-mail to International Headquarters.
