Using CraftNet to enhance the Craftsmen Network, we now have the ability to ‘share our knowledge’ in a more timely fashion than ever before possible. And through the use of online forums and e-mail you can now access the resources of thousands of members of the IAPHC. 24 hours a day.
Over the past few weeks International headquarters has used resources such as the Internet to assist individual members to utilize the Craftsmen Network and find solutions to challenges which were unique to them or their company:
Dodie Coty of Alpha Printing and the Syracuse Club asked IAPHC HQ for ideas on a PC based estimating-order entry-accounting package for her business. HQ provided a graphics magazine article that detailed ten key criteria to consider and toll free numbers for vendors and phone numbers for Craftsmen members with individual expertise in this area.
Pat Arnold of Sudden Graphics, Ltd., and the Vancouver Club called IAPHC HQ in search of used equipment dealers who might be able to help his firm sell a Harris press. The next day IAPHC HQ faxed him 6 contacts in the US and two more in Canada.
Tammie Aaron of Aaron and Associates and the Pittsburgh Club had mentioned to IAPHC HQ that she was checking into possible job leads on the Internet. HQ provided her with the URL’s for Prepress Solutions and iprint.
As a regular feature of the Tuesday Morning CraftNet News we'll be providing examples of how your CraftNet Network has recently assisted IAPHC members.
If you have a problem finding a solution or have an example of how the Craftsmen Network has recently benefited you, we'd like to hear about it. Just send an e-mail to International Headquarters.
