As a result of a discussion with IAPHC CEO Kevin Keane, the National Museum of Ireland has entered our first overseas Gallery of Superb Printing entry this past week. Like membership, people enter the Gallery because they were asked. Please be sure to use every opportunity to promote our Gallery.

Your Craftsmen Network at work:
Mike Lane of Tabs Plus and Karen Shuetz of Designgraphic, both of the Seattle Club, needed help with some copy writing for an ad in The Printing Journal for the Seattle Convention. The ad had been donated by John Kohnke of Kohnke Printing and the San Francisco Club. IAPHC HQ worked with Mike and Karen to finalize the copy the same day.
Ed Kelly formerly of 3M/Imation Corp and the Central Minnesota Club was forming a consultancy business and needed advice about forming a corporation or a limited liability company or remaining as a sole proprietorship. IAPHC HQ provided both advice and professional contacts to assist Ed. Ed's new business was approached about functioning as an arbitrator in a dispute between a printing company and a customer. HQ suggested using the revised Printing Trade Customs as a benchmark and provided Ed a copy of the Customs.
Lorne Turner of David Thompson Secondary School and the Vancouver Club wanted to locate a manual estimating program for instruction of his students. IAPHC HQ faxed his request to well known Craftsmen member educators: Mike Stinnett of the Detroit Club, Linda Laney of the Buffalo Club, Doug Mac Kenzie of the Madison Area Club, Craig Polanowski of the Fresno Club and Gary Walton of the Cincinnati Club.
For more on Craftsmen Educators, see the August 1996 issue of Craftsmen in the News.
If you have a problem finding a solution or have an example of how the Craftsmen Network has recently benefited you, we'd like to hear about it. Just send an e-mail to International Headquarters.

Your "Secret" Network at Work
HQ staff was startled to come into work on January 22, 1997 and find a voice mail message to call the Central Intelligence Agency in McClean Virginia--turns out the CIA Printing and Photography Group wants to buy a set of our Limited Edition Prints for decorating their newly remodeled quarters! Glad we could be of service.
You just can't get away...
The hand of craftsmanship extends even into the OJ Simpson civil trial. EJ Flammer, the young man who brought forth additional photos of OJ in the "nonexistent" Bruno Magli shoes is the son of Edward Flammer, a 30+ year member of the Buffalo Club. Small world, isn't it!
