Your Craftsmen Network at Work
Richard Jones of Pasadena City College Printing Services and incoming president of the Los Angeles Club e-mailed Kevin Keane at Headquarters and asked for assistance with finding a speaker for the 75th Anniversary Celebration of the Los Angeles Club to be held the weekend of October 4th & 5th, 1997. The Club had contacted Tommy Lasorda, but the man who bleeds Dodger Blue said he remains hopeful of having previous commitments (baseball playoffs) that weekend. Kevin suggested that Richard contact David Christie of Spicers Northwest Paper who is a marvelous motivational speaker and member of the Seattle Club; or Kenny Fisher of Kenny the Printer in Irvine California who is a legendary marketing maven. Kenny is a member-at-large.
Ed Levy of Applied Graphic Technologies and membership chair extraordinaire of both the North Jersey and New York Clubs (.... and who has set a personal membership recruiting goal for 1997-1998 of 100 new members; and here's betting it happens!....) called Kevin Keane late on Thursday asking for help in tracking down a web printer who can print and pinhole perforate stamps. Kevin knew from past International Gallery entries that Normand Champagne of the Montreal Club had entered stamps printed by his firm Yvon Boulanger. On Friday Kevin sent a broadcast e-mail of his request for assistance to Normand. Normand responded and said that his firm, BA Banknote Quebecor only printed sheetfed but offered thanks for thinking of them. He also commented that the only printer he knew who printed stamps via web was in Germany. Kevin printed out Normand's e-mail and faxed it to Ed Levy on Monday. JD Prather former Ninth District Governor was another recipient of the e-mail. He sent Kevin an e-mail note on Monday which was also forwarded to Ed Levy that there was a possible source in Oklahoma at Allied Stamp Corp in Sand Springs OK.
The above vignette again reminds us of the powerful business building potential of Your participation in the International Gallery of Superb Printing.
If you have a problem finding a solution or have an example of how the Craftsmen Network has recently benefited you, we'd like to hear about it. Just send an e-mail to International Headquarters.

Gallery is built one entry at a time; and just maybe that special one entry you submit will allow you to grow your business globally!
