From your International Secretary-Treasurer Tony Sarrubi Announcing CASH-IN TO WIN! An e-memo from IAPHC Secretary-Treasurer Tony Sarubbi Sarubbi Says: "Sufferin Saddlebags, Let's use WIN-WIN!" What: A fund raiser to assist in rebuilding IAPHC reserves by putting some cool cash in the coffers, and perhaps your pocketbook too. Why: Many Craftsmen Clubs have access to a variety of fund raising vehicles: golf tourneys, bowling derbies, auctions, reverse raffles, clam bakes, even Print '98 attendance incentives. Our Clubs and Districts may also get cash back from the IAPHC from the various Great Gallery Givebacks, the Duplicate Gallery Award rebates, membership drives and the like. Yet, the International level of our Association has had no direct access to these fundraising programs. Until now. How: Each Club will shortly receive a quantity of CASH-IN TO WIN! tickets. Each ticket will cost $10.00 (US). The goal is 2000 tickets sold. If all 2000 tickets are sold there will be ten (10) lucky winners of $500 (US) each; and fifteen (15) winners of $250 (US) each; plus 1 lucky winner of $1,250 (US) to be presented at the close of the Rochester Convention in August of 1998. That's 26 different winners and winners need not be present to win. Tickets may be sold to members and non-members alike. Additional quantities of tickets can be obtained through IAPHC Headquarters. Any taxes would be the responsibility of the winner. Remaining monies are earmarked for IAPHC reserve funds. When: Deadline for all ticket sale receipts is August 7, 1998. Where: Ticket stubs and proceeds (clearly marked as such) should be submitted to IAPHC Headquarters, attn: CASH-IN TO WIN! Sarubbi says: This is our Association. Let's give it a more firm financial footing by participating in this low cost, fun and simple fashion. Your help is needed. We thank you in advance for your kind support and your wallet just might thank you too. Our thanks to Jeff Mayer and Connecticut Printing & Graphics for the donation of the type, paper and printing of the tickets and to Paul Umlauf of True Cut Die Cutting for the numbering. Both of these fine gentlemen are members of the Mid-Hudson Club. Remember: CASH-IN TO WIN! Tickets and an accompanying press release will be forthcoming shortly. The first five tickets have already been purchased by my good friend Pete Peterson of the Milwaukee-Racine Club. Members at large will be contacted directly about their participation. Our thanks to Tony for his 'guest spot' in these e-pages. For those of our readers celebrating Passover or Easter Week, we wish you and your families peace. And if you get a minute, tell us what you think of TMN. |
