Holy Nano CD's batman

Yep, just when you thought you were starting to get a grip on the limits of computer science and miniuturization come the news in the November 1997 Applied Physics Letters that a Computer Science Engineer at Princeton University, Professor Stephen Chou, may have invented the Nano CD which has the ability to hold the contents of 800 standard CD's. This CD would carry 65 gigabytes per square inch. Those of you who really pay attention to this stuff may recall that IBM had just announced in the past two weeks the world record at 11.6 gigabytes per square inch. It makes one's tiny little head hurt. Or, does Grove's Law, the rule that says computing speed will roughly double every 18 months apply in triplicate to computing storage growth?
