 By Kevin Keane, IAPHC CEO Coming Soon! Look for a fun, fun, fund-raiser called CASH-IN AND WIN! coming to a Craftsmen Club near you. Postal Power Last Year the IAPHC Board decided to spend some money to upgrade our membership software (and database). Among the features of the new software is the ability to bar code and postal pre-sort for mailing purposes in order to save the IAPHC some money. Serious money! Last year we spent about $3,000 to mail the International Gallery Call for Entries. This year's cost was only $1,520! New IAPHC Membership Chair! We want to welcome Karen Woolley who was appointed last week by IAPHC Chairman Larry Nelson to be our International Membership Chair. Karen's flair for marketing should serve us all well. Remember to ask for the order....last week we received a membership-at-large fee from Craig Lyons of Crusader Paper Company in Norwalk, Connecticut... Frieda Sarubbi asked him to join. If you have ideas to build membership why don't you pass them along to Karen Woolley and offer your congratulations on her appointment at the same time. Her e-mail is membership@iaphc.org See some great sites! Very soon we'll be implementing an IAPHC website award for websites that contain graphic arts industry educational content. We still need a few more people to assist us to determine the sites that will be the recipients of this honor. New on our website Last week we changed a few things on the site that you may not have noticed yet, most notably Tuesday Morning News is now accessible from any location on the site using the red menu bar at the top of each page or the text menu at the bottom. Other recent updates include: - A calendar of District Events including conferences, meetings and other upcoming events for your district. - The latest Monthly Message from Chairman Larry Nelson. - The results of 7th District Governor John Leininger's mid-year meeting focus group topics.
