Y'KNOW Requests

Your Knowledge Network Obviously Works (Y'KNOW?)

What is Y'KNOW? -- it's an amazing system for helping one member solve a problem, a problem often solved by a member located a long ways distant. The IAPHC's Knowledge Network has three facets:

1) it has a global reach, not merely local. 2) it offers specific, targeted expertise. 3) it is fast, really fast.

One successful use of Y'KNOW could pay your dues for many years. Consider this testimonial from Chris Kerlick of the St Louis Club dated 27 August, Chris was trying to find a way to handle a clients need for 22" tape binding.

"I called Bob Schneider of Muller Martini and the Cincinnati Club. He gave me the name of a firm that makes a large enough machine. I called you looking for the address and phone number of the Brackett Company. The president of that company called me right back and told me he sells such a machine but the cost is $56,000. He suggested that maybe I could use a re-built machine instead, and gave me the name of a company that had one. I called that firm and they called me immediately. They have the machine we need for $14,500 and can have it ready in 2-4 weeks. Looks like our IAPHC dues will be paid for many a year by our dollar savings. Thanks Kevin, again, and again and again."

This weeks requests:

- From Gary Smith of the North Shore Club: "I am trying to establish pricing for shrink wrapping 25's or 50's for 8 1/2 x 11" sheets. The quantities range from 500 - 50,000 sheets. Could you assist me in finding an industry standard?" You can contact Gary via e-mail at TnGSmith@aol.com
