IAPHC
International Craftsman of the Year
2003
Robert J.
Gans
Los
Angeles, August 12, 2003 –
The
International Association of Printing House Craftsman
(IAPHC) has honored Bob Gans, founder
of Gans Ink and Supply Co., with the highly
coveted Craftsman of the Year Award. Kevin
Keane, IAPHC President and CEO, presented
the prestigious award at the IAPHC’s annual
International Convention, held this year at the
Sheraton Universal Hotel and Conference Center. |
For
more than 50 years, Bob Gans, individually and through his
company, has
committed time and resources to the support of the various
national Craftsman clubs and has been a major proponent to the
clubs motto of “Share the Knowledge”. Gans stated that
“it is an honor to be recognized for my contributions. I
have been given many awards, but this one is something very
special to me, as my goal throughout the years was to not only
sell ink, but to be able to contribute
in some way to the growth and sustenance of this great industry.”
The
IAPHC "International Craftsman of the Year" award is
presented annually
to an individual who has demonstrated the highest ideals of
Craftsmanship on the Local, District and/or International
levels.
As
the highest recognition awarded by the International
Association of
Printing House Craftsmen, Inc., it serves as a singular mark
of distinction from a grateful membership. Those who have
earned this tribute form a virtual "Hall of Fame" of
Craftsmanship.
