IAPHC International Craftsman of the Year Announced
at the 83rd International Convention in Baltimore, August 2007.

The International Craftsman of the Year award is presented annually by the IAPHC to an individual in recognition of their dedication to the industry and the association.

The recipient is nominated both in writing and then verbally endorsed during the IAPHC International Mid Winter Board Meeting by fellow members of the IAPHC and is chosen by the Board of Directors. It is considered to be the highest individual award presented by the IAPHC, Inc.

Cindy Johnson has been an employee of John Deere and Company for 31 years, a member of the IAPHC for 30 years and at her 15th International Convention she was surprised and honored with the IAPHC International Craftsman of the Year Award.

Local, Regional and International Involvements.
Cindy has served on every committee and in every position on her Chapter and District Board as well as 4 years as the International 8th District Governor. She is back again as an alternate Director for the Central Region.

Cindy was instrumental in the planning and execution of the Albuquerque 2002 International IAPHC Convention.

Prior to receiving the unanimous vote from the Board of Directors as the 2007 International Craftsman of the Year, Cindy also has received the Chapter Craftsman of the year award, the 8th District Craftsman of the year award and the International Governor of the Year award as well as several Chairman’s Citations.

After serving with many fellow Craftsmen on the Strategic Business Plan Committee in 2004, Cindy was appointed to the Vice President of Communications position, one that she continues to hold.

As the Vice President of Communications, Cindy is in regular communication with the entire IAPHC membership through bi-weekly E-Blasts enforcing and encouraging the EPIC, Educate, Promote, Inform, Connect mantra of the IAPHC. In addition Cindy is responsible for compiling articles, editing and designing the IAPHC printed publication, "The Communicator".

When asked what Craftsmanship meant to her, Cindy responded that mostly it was the benefit of the business networking and professional friendships. "Involvement with the IAPHC has helped to provide my employer with substantial financial savings in the work force through my networking opportunities.  On a personal level, the IAPHC has provided me with experiences and education in leadership skills and public speaking. I enjoy the strength in working in a team environment and the satisfaction of accomplished goals through that teamwork."
