The IAPHC Announces the Annual Craftsman of the Year Award.

The International Craftsman of the Year award is presented annually by the IAPHC to an individual in recognition of their dedication to the industry and the association.

The recipient is nominated both in writing and then verbally endorsed during the IAPHC International Mid Winter Board Meeting by fellow members of the IAPHC and is chosen by the Board of Directors. It is considered to be the highest award given to an individual.

This year’s recipient was nominated for his generosity of time, leadership skills, forward looking approach and acceptance and adaptability to the changing global industry.

On the International level of the IAPHC, Regional Director Mole noted; “As Vice President of Web Development, he has taken our CraftNet website and our database capabilities to a whole new level. He continues to asses our needs and to provide us with the benefits and results that our membership demands.”

While a business owner himself and despite his numerous entrepreneurial involvements, “Dan’s skills and compassion for this association and it’s members embraces the EPIC acronym, that we are trying to follow. He helps Educate, Promote, Inform and Connect the members of the IAPHC.” Glenn Thompson, Past President Vancouver Chapter.

Dan Lane owner of Tabs to Go in Seattle, Washington www.tabstogo.com is awarded the 2006 International Craftsman of the Year award by the IAPHC Board of Directors, as the Graphic Professional who best exemplifies the ideals, spirit and standards of the IAPHC; who has served the organization in an outstanding manner, and is recognized for his leadership and contributions to the industry and the association.

Dan was presented the Waterford Crystal Bowl, aptly named the “Craftsman Bowl” at the IAPHC annual convention at the Rancho Bernardo Inn, in San Diego, August 19, 2006.

The IAPHC is a non-profit, international association for graphic professionals and exists to educate, promote, inform and connect its members and the global graphic community.
